WHAT WE BELIEVE

God: God is creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and one God.

Jesus: Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven's glory and will return again someday to earth to reign as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords!

The Bible: We believe the Bible is the Word of God, the full and complete revelation of the plan and history of redemption. It was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. Because it is inspired by God, it is the truth without any mixture of error.

The Holy Spirit: The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son of God. He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. He gives every believer spiritual gifts when they are saved, and manifestation gifts as they are filled with the Holy Spirit. As Christians, we seek to live under His control daily.

Salvation: Salvation is God's free gift to us but we must accept it. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God's offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin's penalty. When we turn from our self-ruled life and turn to Jesus in faith we are saved. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his life by faith. *(See note on eternal security at bottom)

The Second Coming of Jesus: We believe in the imminent, personal, pre-millennial second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and love and await his appearing.

The Baptism of the Holy Spirit: We believe that the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is available to all believers and that this experience may be received of God by a definite act of appropriating faith. We believe the initial evidence of the reception of this experience is speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives the words.

Miracles: We believe that God is a God of miracles and that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. There is marvelous, wonder working power in the name of Jesus. He is still able to provide for, heal, and deliver those who call on his name in faith, and those who believe the Word of God!

Eternity: We believe that eternal life with God in heaven is a portion of the reward of the finally righteous; and that everlasting banishment from the presence of the Lord in hell are the wages of the persistently wicked.

Sanctification: We believe that Jesus Christ shed his blood for the remission of sins past, for the rebirth of repentant sinners, and for salvation from sin and from sinning. This is not to say that believers exist presently in a state of sinless perfection, but that all true believers are given the desire and power from God to live a godly life that is pleasing to him.

The Great Commission: We believe it is the joyful responsibility of every believer to dedicate his life to carrying out the work of the Great Commission.

About Eternal Security: We believe that the truly born-again believer is secure in Jesus Christ for all eternity only if he/she continues in the faith until the end. We firmly maintain and teach the importance of holding to and following the Lord Jesus for a lifetime in order to ensure the receiving of the promise of eternal life! We cannot ignore the scriptural warnings of the dangers of apostasy (departing from the faith) and backsliding (wandering from Christ).
